After IDS has been programmed for your cluster or network, you can use the following procedures to establish data synchronization.
Two synchronization options are available: "full", which searches for the complete range of new, modified and deleted user record updates, and "incremental", which only searches for new and modified updates.
When you program a synchronization event, you can specify how the system should deal with the updates—apply them immediately, detain them for processing by an administrator, or simply log them in a report. You can also specify whether you want to download the partial attribute set (PAS) of updates from the global catalogue server, or search for the updates in specific domains.
